* Work on development of program for the amortization of non -conforming land uses. <br />* Continue to provide timely, quality customer service. <br />* Input targeted infrastructure data on Geographic Information System (GIS). <br />1997 <br />* Continue efforts at rehabilitating identified inadequate Housing Stock within the City. <br />* Increase the number of rental housing inspections to include all units within the City. <br />* Complete input of all relevant Infrastructure data on Geographic Information System. <br />* Develop timeframe for total amortization of all non -conforming land uses within City. <br />1998 <br />* Explore possibilities of subdivision of remaining oversized residential properties within <br />City. <br />* Begin review of Zoning and Sign chapters of the Municipal Code to ensure they are <br />meeting the needs of the City as a whole. <br />1999 <br />* Complete review of Zoning and Sign chapters of the Municipal Code. <br />2000 <br />* Conduct analysis of the impact of the first 5 years of the <br />Housing Rehabilitation Program. <br />Staffing Projections <br />Following the completion of the Housing Stock Analysis in <br />March of 1995, the City Council took the final step towards housing rehabilitation <br />in the City by hiring a full-time Housing Inspector to implement the programs and <br />recommendations outlined in the study. With this hire, the Community Development <br />Department appears to have all service areas - Planning, Housing, Code Enforcement, <br />Building Inspection and Engineering - provided for. No additional Staff is anticipated to <br />be needed in the near future. <br />29 <br />
