2 ELECTRONIC/COMPUTERIZED MESSAGE BOARD - at City Hall. <br />Approximate cost, $40,000. <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS: <br />1996 <br />1 WOODCREST PARK IMPROVEMENTS <br />- pave parking lot <br />- repair and improve park bldg. (to code) <br />- install youth ballfield <br />- culvert storm water ditch along Woodcrest Drive <br />Hopes for a matching grant would mean a 50% share of <br />approximately $40,000. <br />2 NEW PICNIC TABLES AND TRASH RECEPTACLES - Purchase new <br />expanded metal, coated picnic tables to replace old broken <br />down wooden picnic tables at City Hall Park. Also purchase <br />permanent expanded metal trash receptacles to match <br />including trash cans for RECYCLING ALUMINUM CANS. Estimated <br />cost of $9,000. <br />3 AMENITIES FOR GOLF COURSE OPEN SPACE - including benches, <br />swing observation benches, signs and other amenities. <br />Approximate cost is $7,500. <br />4 HEIGHTEN SILVER VIEW PARK OUTFIELD FENCE (#2) - For the <br />safety of ball players who are fielding long ball hits, who <br />may jump for a ball and catch their back on the top of the <br />fence. New standards are for 10' fences whereas when these <br />fields were installed the standard height was 5' fences. <br />Cost is approximately $11,000. <br />5 GREENFIELD PARK STUDY - To determine areas of the wetland <br />that could be used for extending right field of the baseball <br />field and looking at possibilities for looping the trail. <br />Study cost is approximately $8,000. <br />6 CITY HALL VOLLEYBALL LIGHTING - This has been a request of <br />residents who use the volleyball courts in the later <br />evening. Approximate cost $6,000. <br />1997 <br />1 HEIGHTEN SILVER VIEW PARK OUTFIELD FENCE (#1) - This again <br />is for the safety of ballplayers who reach over the fence <br />for fly balls. Today's fence height standard is 10' whereas <br />the fence is only 5'. Approximate cost is $11,000. <br />2 REPLACE CITY HALL BALLFIELD FENCING - This ballfield fencing <br />is old and when it was installed years ago, it was installed <br />incorrectly, having the fabric on the outside rather than <br />the inside, exposing posts and liability for injury. This <br />fence too is only 5' whereas standards are now for 10' <br />s9 <br />
