Dynex Industrie.., Inc.'s customers are comprist,,, primarily of commercial <br />enterprises and governmental agencies located in the Midwest. It <br />advertises in trade magazines, attends trade shows nationwide, is <br />involved in doing direct mailings, utilizes outside salespeople, and <br />independent agencies, and does telemarketing. <br />The existing location in Mounds View, Minnesota is approximately 25,000 <br />square feet. Dynex Industries, Inc. is proposing to add approximately <br />28,500 square feet. The new expansion would help the business by <br />consolidating all four Minnesota locations which will save operating costs <br />and improve communication between employees and give the company <br />an attractive location for manufacturing and demonstrating its lamp _ <br />recycling machines. <br />The company has been growing because management has been <br />proactive in pursuing business opportunities. <br />Its major suppliers include the following: <br />Balteau Standard <br />Westinghouse Supply (Wesco) <br />Teco American <br />Trans End Technology <br />Heritage <br />Asea Brown Boveri Power (ABB) <br />Joslyn Manufacturing <br />Electric Control Equipment <br />Tipton Environmental Services <br />Pollution Control Industries. <br />Dynex Industries, Inc. services about 400 customers per year. Its major <br />customers include: <br />General Motors <br />3M Company <br />State of Wisconsin <br />John Deere <br />Lafarge <br />Ford <br />Ramsey County <br />Browning Ferris <br />Northwest Airlines <br />In 1994, approximately 23 percent of Dynex Industries, Inc.'s business <br />was done with its five largest customers. The business is slowest in the <br />winter and busiest in the summer and fall. <br />
