Ability to assist in training of other <br /> employees. <br /> Knowledge of operations in all departments. <br /> Ability to assume supervisory duties in the <br /> absence of the Public Works Supervisor. <br /> Ability to respond to and resolve complaints <br /> effectively. <br /> ARTICLE XXIII. WAGES. <br /> 23 .1 The following wage schedule will be in effect from the <br /> first payroll period in 1993 through the last payroll period <br /> in 1993 . <br /> LEVEL A $ 10.62 per hour <br /> LEVEL B $ 12 .47 per hour <br /> LEVEL C $ 14 .44 per hour <br /> LEVEL D $ 14.73 per hour <br /> 23 .2 An EMPLOYEE classified in Levels B through D will <br /> receive wages listed for that level regardless of the area <br /> to which they are assigned, but will receive no less than <br /> the level to which they are classified. <br /> ARTICLE XXIV. INTERMITTENT LEAD WORKER <br /> 24 .1 Under certain circumstances, the Public Works <br /> Supervisor may determine the need for a Lead Worker to be in <br /> charge of a work crew. This determination will be made at <br /> the discretion of the Public Works Foreman and may be based <br /> on the complexity of a task, the number of workers involved, <br /> the experience level of the workers assigned, or a <br /> combination of these factors. The determination of the <br /> Public Works Foreman is final and not grievable. <br /> 24 .2 The CITY will maintain a sign-up list for those <br /> EMPLOYEES who are to be considered for Lead Worker <br /> assignments. Selections for Lead Workers will be made from <br /> this list in accordance with the Public Works Supervisor's <br /> determinations of the best qualifications. There will be no <br /> attempt to equalize distribution of Lead Worker selections. <br /> 24. 3 To be eligible on the sign-up list an employee must be <br /> classified as a Public Services Worker - Level D. <br /> Selections will be only for those areas in which the <br /> individual is classified. <br /> 24 . 4 The Lead Worker will receive a pay differential of <br /> $0. 50 per hour while assigned as the Lead Worker. <br /> 13 <br />
