STAFF REPORT
PAGE TWO
FEBRUARY 3, 1994
Rather, as stated earlier, the Code only requires that the vehicles
be licensed and on an improved surface. The Focus 2000 Housing and
Neighborhoods project team has addressed the issue of vehicles in
yards and, following final presentation and implementation of their
recommendations, the Council may want to study the possibility of
limiting the number of vehicles which can be kept on a residential
property.
8040 Groveland Road
Currently, there is a "pop-up" trailer located in the front yard of
this property. The Municipal Code does not allow the storage of
recreational equipment in front yards. The equipment may be stored
in the side or rear yards provided that adequate screening is
provided. The Code Enforcement Officer has been in contact with the
property owners, made them aware of the requirements and
established a timeframe for the removal of the equipment.
For your information, Staff has included a map showing the location
of the properties referenced in this memorandum.
