C. City Engineer Services <br /> The ENGINEER shall conduct and/or prepare as directed by the <br /> City Council the following: <br /> 1. Reviews, Investigations and Reports <br /> 2. Feasibility Studies <br /> 3. Plans, specifications and general observation of <br /> construction on projects with construction costs less than <br /> $100,000. <br /> 4. Assessment Rolls <br /> 5. Easement Descriptions <br /> 6. Resident Project Representation and construction staking <br /> work. <br /> 7. Density/Moisture Tests <br /> 8. Revisions to reports, plans, and/or specifications due to <br /> changes in scope of project. <br /> D. Major Projects <br /> For projects with construction costs of $100,000 or more each, <br /> the ENGINEER shall conduct and/or prepare plans, specifications <br /> and general observation of construction as directed by the CITY. <br /> Individual major projects shall be identified and the scope and <br /> detail thereof described in a brief letter proposal submitted by <br /> the ENGINEER to the CITY which letter proposal shall also <br /> provide for the basis for payment to the ENGINEER. Written <br /> acceptance and/or authorizing council action of any proposal <br /> submitted will be required prior to commencing work. <br /> SECTION II - PAYMENTS TO THE ENGINEER <br /> A. Meeting Attendance <br /> For attendance at Council Meetings, Planning Commission Meetings <br /> and Public Hearings the ENGINEER shall be paid at the rate of <br /> fifty dollars ($50.00) per meeting. <br /> For attendance at Metropolitan Council meetings, Metropolitan <br /> Waste Control Commission meetings, Watershed District meetings, <br /> State Agency meetings and Court Hearings the ENGINEER shall be <br /> paid at the rate of 2. 1 times the applicable payroll cost plus <br /> travel at cost. <br /> Payroll cost is defined as the cost of salaries ( including sick <br /> leave, vacation and holiday pay applicable thereto) of all <br /> personnel for time directly chargeable; plus unemployment <br /> compensation, insurance, retirement benefits, incentive <br /> compensation benefits, and medical and surgical benefits. <br /> - 2 - <br />
