B. City Engineer <br /> For City Engineer services performed as described in Section <br /> I.C, the ENGINEER shall be paid on an hourly basis at the rate <br /> of 2. 1 times the total applicable payroll cost plus travel at <br /> cost and equipment and materials at the standard rates. <br /> Reimbursable expenses of vehicle use shall be paid at the actual <br /> rate paid the employee. <br /> C. Major Projects <br /> The ENGINEER shall be compensated for Preparation of Plans and <br /> Specifications and Observation of Construction in accordance <br /> with the letter proposal described in Sectin I.D. <br /> D. Frequency of Payments <br /> The ENGINEER shall be paid monthly by the CITY. <br /> E. Billing Overhead <br /> The CITY shall pay the ENGINEER for outside consultant services <br /> including, but not limited to, television inspection, soil <br /> borings, laboratory tests, and inspection of material samples at <br /> the rate of 110% of the invoiced amount where such invoices are <br /> paid for by the ENGINEER. Should such services be arranged for <br /> by the ENGINEER and paid for directly by the CITY no add-on <br /> amount shall be due the ENGINEER. <br /> SECTION III - GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS <br /> A. Ownership of Documents <br /> All project documents consisting of original drawings, <br /> estimates, specifications and field notes are the property of <br /> the CITYand will be supplied on request. The ENGINEER may, at <br /> his expense, retain reproducible copies of drawings and copies <br /> of other documents, in consideration of which it is mutually <br /> agreed that the ENGINEER and the CITY will use them solely in <br /> connection with the project. <br /> B. Assignment <br /> The ENGINEER shall not, without the written consent of the CITY, <br /> assign any interest or obligation in this agreement. <br /> C. Insurance <br /> The ENGINEER shall secure and maintain such insurance as the <br /> ENGINEER deems necessary or appropriate to protect him from <br /> - 3 - <br />
