Sande <br /> President of Board of Managers <br /> Rice Creek Watershed District <br /> 3585 Lexington Avenue North, Suite 374 <br /> Arden Hills , MN 55126 <br /> Subject: Ditch Maintenance, Judicial Ditch No. 1 <br /> Dear Mr. Sande: <br /> The purpose of this letter is to request that the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed District conduct an inspection of Judicial Ditch No. <br /> 1 from its confluence with Rice Creek to, and including, ditch <br /> extensions on the east side of I35W including Judicial Ditch <br /> Nos . 1-1 , 1-2 and 1-3. <br /> Inspection of portions of this ditch system by our City Engi- <br /> neer, Charles Lenthe, reveals unacceptable flows downstream of <br /> Highway 118 with increases in flow elevation and water table <br /> upstream of County Road J (85th Avenue) . <br /> Though I recognize the Watershed District' s intent to conduct <br /> more frequent ditch inspections , the City of Blaine experi- <br /> enced , and continues to experience, a number of calls regarding <br /> road condition and high water table in our South Central Dis- <br /> trict served by this conveyance system. <br /> • <br /> If you would inform us of the results of your inspection and an <br /> anticipated date of cleaning I will forward this information to <br /> my City Council . <br /> Sincerely, <br /> �� <br /> Donald G.
