ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR AND HOUSING INTERN <br /> The interviews for the Economic Development Coordinator position took place on <br /> Tuesday, March 1. There were several interesting candidates that participated. A <br /> recommendation will be presented to the Council at the March 14 Council Meeting. <br /> The Housing Intern applications have also been reviewed and interviews for eight <br /> candidates have been scheduled for next week. <br /> Tim C. <br /> • <br /> PARKS <br /> Mary is on vacation this week having a great time with her children. Their <br /> activities for the week are skiing (twice), rollerskating, a movie, and the <br /> Mall of America. Good Recreation Directors know how to practice what <br /> they preach! <br /> With the rinks closed, Jeff and Steve are busily preparing equipment and <br /> plans for the upcoming spring activities. They need to take this time to <br /> regroup, repair equipment, do regular equipment maintenance and plan <br /> for the fast-paced spring and summer seasons. <br /> The spring brochure RECREATION <br /> is out and the <br /> registrations are <br /> pouring in. The new <br /> credit card registration is already a hit. Many people are taking <br /> advantage of this service. Everyone who comes in to register has been <br /> genuinely happy for our staff to be up out of the basement ... and so are <br /> we! <br /> Mary and Brad are attending a seminar in St. Cloud this week for <br /> "Keeping Youth Sports Safe and Fun". . <br /> Other activities include a trip to Bachman's, Muffuletta and Como Park <br /> Conservatory for seniors. The Mounds View Community Theatre is <br /> running a funding raising trip to Jackpot Junction on Saturday. Not only <br /> will over 130 people have an enjoyable day, but the MVCT will receive the <br /> proceeds which will help <br />
