<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7598 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LUMBER FOR MAILBOX POSTS FOR THE <br />2010 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – AREA B/C AND <br />RESCINDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 7578 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council approved plans/specs and authorized <br />advertisement for the 2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project – Area B/C contract <br />at the February 8, 2010 meeting, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of a street improvement project mailboxes will be installed <br />and mailbox posts will be constructed, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received 4 quotes for lumber to construct the mailbox <br />posts, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, On February 22, 2010 Staff presented a staff report with the cost of <br />lumber only, inadvertently excluding the cost of the mailboxes, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lowe’s of Blaine quoted an amount of $11,214.21, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the City Council consider a 5% contingency <br />to the quote for minor hardware supplies in the amount of $560.00, and; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve the purchase of mailboxes and the lumber to construct the necessary <br />mailbox posts from Lowe’s of Blaine in the amount of $11,774.92 to be funded from <br />account number 410-4650-7050-312 and to rescind Resolution Number 7578. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of March, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> _________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
