Written Notice: Except in the case of a suspension pending a hearing on <br />revocation, revocation or suspension by the Council shall be preceded by written <br />notice to the grantee licensee, and a public hearing shall be held. The notice shall <br />give at least eight (8) days’ notice of the time and place of the hearing and shall state <br />the nature of the charges against the licensee. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Suspension Pending Hearing: The Council may, without any advance notice, <br />suspend any license pending a hearing on revocation for a period not exceeding thirty <br />(30) days. (1988 Code §100.12) <br /> <br /> <br />502.17: VIOLATION OF PROVISIONS: Any person violating any provision of <br />this Chapter shall be guilty of a Mmisdemeanor. (1988 Code §100. 13) <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 500, <br />Chapter 503 of the Mounds View Municipal Code by adding the underlined material and <br />deleting the stricken material as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />503.01: DEFINITIONS: When used in this Chapter, the following words and phrases <br />shall have the meanings ascribed to them: <br /> <br />Subd. 1. BEER or 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR: Any malt beverage with an alcoholic <br />content of more than one-half of one percent (0.5%) by volume and not more than <br />three and two-tenths percent (3.2%) by weight. BEER 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR STORE: An establishment used <br />exclusively for the sale of beer 3.2 percent malt liquor with the incidental sale of <br />cigars, cigarettes, all forms of tobacco, beverages and soft drinks at retail. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. BONA FIDE CLUB: A club organized for social or business purposes or for <br />intellectual improvement or for the promotion of sports, where the serving of beer is <br />incidental to and not the major purpose of the club An incorporated organization <br />organized under the laws of the state for civic, fraternal, social or business purposes, <br />for intellectual improvement, or for the promotion of sports, or a congressionally <br />chartered veterans’ organization, which: <br /> <br /> (a) has more than 30 members; <br /> <br /> (b) has owned or rented a building or space in a building for more than one year <br />that is suitable and adequate for the accommodation of its members; and
