<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7663 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR <br />POLICE SERGEANT MIKE KAMPA <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant Kampa has retired from the Mounds View Police Department <br />effective July 30, 2010; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 1,805.94 hours <br />as of July 30, 2010; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 201.23 as of July 30, <br />2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Kampa’s current rate of pay of $37.83 per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of sick time will be 1,805.94 hours x <br />65% x $37.83 = $ $44,407.16; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 201.23 x <br />$37.83 = $7,612.53; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, $52,019.69 will be contributed to Sergeant Kampa’s Retirement Health <br />Savings Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves a one-time payout of sick and vacation time not to exceed $52,019.69 into <br />Sergeant Kampa’s Retirement Health Saving Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of August, 2010. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br />
