Resolution 7695, Authorizing Architect Mechanical, Inc. to Replace an 8½ 1 <br />Ton Roof Top Unit at the Mounds View Community Center. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Stigney questioned if a third bid had been received for the roof top unit. City 4 <br />Administrator Ericson stated he did receive a phone call around 4:00 p.m. which was forwarded 5 <br />to the Public Works Department. However, a response was not received before 4:30 p.m. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the Council could delay action on this item until receiving this 8 <br />additional bid. Public Works Director DeBar explained if the purchase of the unit were 9 <br />completed before the end of October the City would receive an energy rebate from Xcel in the 10 <br />amount of $720 and a $1,500 rebate from the manufacturer. He noted the new unit also had an 11 <br />economizer function that would assist the City with future cost savings. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Stigney questioned if the City had time to entertain another option. Public 14 <br />Works Director DeBar stated the current unit has been red-tagged and can only be used at the 15 <br />City’s risk. The City’s multi-purpose room was not being heated at this time. He indicated 16 <br />Architect Mechanical was able to purchase the new unit and install it within the next week. 17 <br /> 18 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated if the City were to receive any additional bids lower than 19 <br />the current low bidder, the information would be brought to the Council for further review. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7695, 22 <br />Authorizing Architect Mechanical, Inc. to Replace an 8½ Ton Roof Top Unit at the Mounds 23 <br />View Community Center, with Staff bringing any additional bids to the Council for further 24 <br />review, if necessary. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 <br /> 28 <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 29 <br /> 30 <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. 31 <br /> 32 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Approve the September 27, 2010, City Council 40 <br />meeting minutes as amended. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Council Member Stigney requested a change on Page 3, Line 36 and 37, that the sign size be 43 <br />replaced with the proper sign square footage, being six square feet. 44 <br /> 45
