<br /> <br />www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us <br />8 <br /> <br />School Resource Officer Report, Cont’d <br /> <br />In August, the SRO attended a 32 hour Crisis Intervention Team Training course. At that <br />training, discussions were presented of various mental health disorders that affect adults and <br />children. Training occurred in methods to deescalate students in crisis situations and how to <br />refer them for further assistance from other appropriate agencies. The course used live <br />actors in practical scenario exercises to allow officers to practice the skills they learned. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Safe & Sober/Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative <br /> <br />This is the final quarter for our 2009-10 grant period. The new 2010- <br />11 grant starts on Oct 1st. It coincides with the fiscal year for the <br />Federal Government. <br /> <br />During this quarter our department participated in a July speed wave called the 7 Days of <br />Speed. During these hours our officers issued 34 traffic citations-18 of which were for speed. <br />1 person was arrested for driving after suspension. <br /> <br />During our September Move over Law and DWI events, Mounds View Officers stopped 67 <br />vehicles and issued 61 citations. 10 of these drivers were cited for violations of the new Move <br />over Law. 3 were arrested for DWI. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Wide Totals <br /> <br />RCTSI- DWI Saturations (7 Events) <br /> <br />Vehicles Stopped: 2,275 <br />DWI’s: 132 <br />Citations Issued: 1,000 <br /> <br />Safe & Sober Events <br /> <br />Vehicles Stopped: 396 <br />DWI’s: 16 <br />Citations Issued: 193 <br /> <br /> <br />Financial Report <br /> <br />(See attached document)
