Community 2 Development Director Roberts indicated the name has officially changed to Motortrend but the 3 name on the building was Motorworks of Mounds View. 4 5 2. Presentation of LMC Certificates of Completion 6 7 City Administrator Ericson presented staff members Planning Associate Heller, Community 8 Development Director Roberts, Council Member Mueller, and Mayor Flaherty with certificates 9 for completing LMC training. The City was now qualified for an incentive discount. It was 10 noted Council Member Gunn would be completing the training as well. 11 12 Mayor Flaherty encouraged all to complete the 45 minute course as it was informal and provided 13 great information on land use. 14 15 3. City Administrator Report 16 17 City Administrator Ericson presented the Council with a two page report. He indicated the Cable 18 Committee met last week and CTV was looking for new space. The 2011 budget was discussed 19 and further information would be presented to the Council at a future meeting. He indicated he 20 attended a League of Minnesota Cities meeting last week where the main focus was the 2011 21 budget and how the current deficits would be handled. 22 23 City Administrator Ericson explained a negotiations session was scheduled for December 1st with 24 the LELS 232. He reviewed the items on the December work session agenda in detail. 25 26 Council Member Stigney requested an item be added to the agenda to discuss the 2011 budget. 27 28 City Administrator Ericson indicated he attended a meeting with County representatives where 29 Beyond the Yellow Ribbon was further discussed. He thanked Council Member Gunn for 30 spearheading this initiative in the City of Mounds View. 31 32 Council Member Mueller thanked Council Member Gunn for taking on this responsibility as it 33 would greatly serve veterans in this community. 34 35 City Administrator Ericson explained Pat Riersma had resigned his position with the YMCA. 36 The position has since been posted and he would be assisting with the hiring process. 37 38 Finance Director Beer advised that the City of Mounds View would be receiving a Certificate of 39 Achievement from the MnGFOA for the 2009 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The 40 Council congratulated staff on this commendation. 41 42 City Administrator Ericson noted City Hall would be closed on Thursday and Friday in 43 observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. 44 45
