City of Mounds View Comprehensive Plan <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Chapter 9: Implementation <br /> <br />9-10 <br />Zoning Code Definitions <br /> <br /> <br />R-1, Single-Family Residential: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for low density single-family detached residential dwelling units <br />and directly related, complementary uses. <br /> <br />R-2, Single and Two-Family Residential: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for low to moderate density 1 and 2 unit dwellings and directly <br />related complementary uses. <br /> <br />R-3, Medium Density Residential: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for medium density housing in multiple family structures <br />ranging up to and including 6 units and directly related complementary uses. <br /> <br />R-4, High Density Residential: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for high density residential uses and directly related <br />complementary uses. <br /> <br />R-5, Manufactured Home: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for the planned regulation of manufactured homes. Such homes <br />are grouped together due to their particular space requirements, construction and style. <br /> <br />B-1, Neighborhood Business: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for the establishment of local centers for convenient, limited <br />office, retail or service outlets which deal directly with the customer for whom the goods or services are <br />furnished. The centers are to provide services and goods for the surrounding neighborhoods and are not <br />intended to draw customers from the entire community. <br /> <br />B-2, Limited Business: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for low intensity, retail or service outlets which deal directly <br />with the customer for whom the goods or services are furnished. The uses allowed in this district are to <br />provide goods and services on a limited community market scale and located in areas which are well <br />served by collector or arterial street facilities at the edge of residential districts. <br /> <br />B-3, Highway Business: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for and limit the establishment of motor vehicle oriented or <br />dependent commercial and service activities. <br />
