City of Mounds View Comprehensive Plan <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Chapter 9: Implementation <br /> <br />9-11 <br />B-4, Regional Business: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for the establishment of commercial and service activities which <br />draw from and service customers from the entire community or region. <br /> <br />Industrial: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for the establishment of warehousing and industrial <br />development and use. <br /> <br />PUD, Planned Unit Development: <br />The purpose of this district is to provide for the integration and coordination of land parcels as well as <br />the combination of varying types of residential, commercial and industrial uses. <br /> <br />CRP, Conservancy, Recreation & Preservation: <br />The purpose of this district is to permit the development of major recreational use facilities on lands <br />uniquely situated in the City by virtue of such factors as access, surrounding uses and adaptability. Such <br />lands may be wholly or partially unsuitable for most residential, commercial or industrial development <br />because of location, surrounding uses, water tables, drainage and soil conditions, the lack of adequate <br />public utilities because of availability or cost considerations and where such developments would <br />adversely impact the flood plains, wetlands and drainageways of the area. Such recreational use <br />development shall be designed to conserve, preserve and enhance the environment, important natural <br />features and resources, forests and woodlands and control density, particularly in areas of the City <br />affected by major highways, airports and other regional areas. <br /> <br />
