2008 Mounds View Comprehensive Plan
________________________________________________________________________

Chapter 4: Housing

4-6

Goal 4: Encourage residential infill and redevelopment that supports the City’s
housing goals and maintains residential character.

Policies:

a. Continue to enforce the city design standards and use the city review process for all
residential development or redevelopment.

b. For non-residential development and residential development, including proposals that need
a public street, the City shall consider the impact of the proposal on neighborhood character.

c. The City may consider higher density residential development when:

• Municipal services adequately serve the site,
• Environmental conditions can accommodate the proposed density,
• The proposal would protect natural resources and
• The City deems the proposed use compatible with nearby land uses.
