February 23, 2009 Item No. 7C <br />Page 6 <br />Next Steps: <br />If the City Council wishes to proceed with this program to provide for private <br />improvements within the public contracts for the Street and Utility Improvement <br />Program, the next steps would be: <br />-Adopt Resolution 7415 to establish the program components <br />and set the Schedule of Costs and Schedule of Payment <br />-Introductory information on the program would be included in <br />the notices mailed out the week of March 2nd for the upcoming <br />Neighborhood Meeting on the 2009-2010 Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project. <br />-More detailed information would be provided during the <br />presentation at the Neighborhood Meeting on March 19, 2009 <br />-Staff will proceed with development of the Agreement form and <br />associated application forms for the program. The intent would <br />be to have the completed forms available for distribution at the <br />Neighborhood Meeting. <br />Recommendation: <br />Based on the discussion in this report, Staff recommends that the City Council <br />adopt Resolution 7415 establishing the components of the Private Improvement <br />Program in Conjunction with the Street and Utility Improvement Program. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Joseph R.
