The Police Chief met with the Police Civil Service Commission <br />concerning the procedures for filling the position. The Civil Service Commission has <br />certified the eligibility list for the position. In order of eligibility, the list is as follows: <br /> <br />1. Tyler Martin <br />2. Jesse Gerhard <br />3. Brian Micheletti <br /> <br />The top candidate on the current police civil service eligibility list for the position is Tyler <br />Martin. A background investigation was completed on Mr. Martin which he passed. Staff <br />from the police department have met with Mr. Martin and recommend he be hired to the <br />position. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff seeks council approval to proceed with appointing Tyler Martin to the part time <br />position of Public Service Officer at the step one rate of pay ($12.73/hour) for the position <br />as stipulated in the AFSME contract covering this position effective March 2, 2009. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Mike Sommer, Chief of Police <br /> <br />
