April 13, 2009 Item No. 7I <br />Page 7 <br />Schedule: <br />Proposed Change Order No. 1 has been prepared by Bonestroo, and has been <br />reviewed and approved by the contractor, North Valley Inc. The copy of the <br />Change Order included with this Staff Report shows the signatures by both <br />Bonestroo and North Valley Inc. <br />The preconstruction meeting with North Valley Inc. for the 2009-2010 Project was <br />held on April 7, 2009. The primary construction crews for the utility and street <br />work will likely begin work either the first or second week of May. However, the <br />non-intrusive sanitary sewer work is done in advance of the other utility and <br />street work, and is likely to begin the week of April 20, 2009. <br />Therefore, if the City Council is inclined to approve Change Order No. 1 to <br />include the additional slip lining work in the project, it would be best to approve <br />the Change Order at the City Council meeting of April 13, 2009. <br />Recommendation: <br />Resolution 7438 has been prepared in accordance with the preceding <br />discussion, and is included with this Staff Report for consideration. Based on the <br />information presented, Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution <br />7438 approving Change Order No. 1 to the construction contract for the 2009- <br />2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Joseph R.
