RESOLUTION 7439 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF THE <br />REQUIRED MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORM SEWER SYSTEM <br />MAPPING COMPONENTS <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View holds a Municipal Separate Storm <br />Sewer System (MS4) permit under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) as administered by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br />(MPCA); and <br />WHEREAS, Part V.G.3.a of the MS4 permit requires the City to <br />develop a storm sewer system map; and <br />WHEREAS, the current City storm sewer system map does not <br />include all of the necessary components identified in the MS4 permit; and <br />WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consulting engineer for the City on <br />the Local Surface Water Management Plan (LSWMP); and <br />WHEREAS, the drainage area map being prepared for the LSWMP <br />would provide the framework for the MS4 mapping requirements as well, allowing <br />a combined map to be prepared in a cost effective manner; and <br />WHEREAS, a combined LSWMP and MS4 map provides additional <br />benefit to the City in terms of updating and management of the information; and <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View requested Bonestroo to provide a written <br />proposal for the required MS4 mapping services; and <br />WHEREAS, Bonestroo has provided a written proposal for the work <br />in the form of a Letter Agreement dated April 9, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the aspects of the proposal including scope, schedule, <br />and cost are acceptable. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1.Authorization is hereby given to proceed with the MS4 <br />mapping to meet the requirements of the MS4 permit.
