Mounds View City Council June 22, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Gunn noted the Code indicates adaptors, power tap, power supply, and 2 <br />installation per what the Fire Marshal has stated. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane questioned the date for the fire inspection to be passed. 5 <br />Kevin Halvorson stated they would have the surge protectors installed by the end of the week. 6 <br />Mayor Flaherty suggested June 29, 2009. Fire Marshal Osmonson stated she would schedule an 7 <br />inspection for that date. 8 <br /> 9 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7460, to 10 <br />Consider an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment, 11 <br />subject to satisfactory to a Fire Inspection on June 29, 2009. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Hull stated his place of employment in Mounds View is inspected each year 14 <br />and he has found Fire Marshal Osmonson nothing but professional so he took exception to the 15 <br />implication with regard to harassment. Mayor Flaherty concurred and noted no one is singled out 16 <br />and the City needed to ensure Mounds View’s businesses and customers are safe. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Mueller stated communication is vitally important and this has been a learning 19 <br />experience. She stated she is appreciative that things have worked out this evening and can move 20 <br />forward. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Stigney asked about the deadline for the inspection. Fire Marshal Osmonson 23 <br />suggested by noon on June 29. 24 <br /> 25 <br />FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Council Member Mueller and Stigney accepted this friendly 26 <br />amendment to have the date of inspection, June 29th, included in the motion. . 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Amendment carried. 29 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Amended motion carried. 30 <br /> 31 <br />A. 1. 7:05 p.m. Public Hearing: to Receive Public Input and Approve 32 <br />Resolution 7466 Adopting a Special Assessment Levy for Unpaid 33 <br />Administrative Offense Fines. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Finance Director Beer explained the process to assess for unpaid fines and advised of the 36 <br />notification process provided to the four property owners. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 8:02 p.m. Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty 39 <br />closed the public hearing at 8:02 p.m. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull.
