Mounds View City Council June 22, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />recommend a revocation at that time. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the continued public hearing at 8:13 p.m. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what has been identified as the problem for the property sale not 5 <br />closing. Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated it is between Ramsey County and the surveyor that 6 <br />prepared the plat. Once the plat is submitted, it should not be long before the City can sign the 7 <br />plat and submit it to Ramsey County for recording. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if the property owner is agreeable to the deadline on the utility 10 <br />bill and fire inspection compliance issues. Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane stated she is 11 <br />unsure but has left a message with the property owner. She stated July 10, 2009 allows enough 12 <br />time in the event the Council wants to discuss the revocation process. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7461, 15 <br />Approving an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for The Mermaid. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Stigney asked about the date for a satisfactory Fire Marshal re-inspection. 18 <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane noted the June 18, 2009 letter from the Fire Marshal 19 <br />includes the date of June 30, 2009. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Community Development Director Roberts explained the current owner is not able to make some 22 <br />of the corrections until after the sale of the property and suggested a date of September 1, 2009 23 <br />be considered. 24 <br /> 25 <br />FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Council Members Mueller and Gunn agreed to a friendly 26 <br />amendment to require a satisfactory fire re-inspection by September 1, 2009. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated the owners are not present tonight but he has been assured they have been 29 <br />cooperative with the process. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 32 <br /> 33 <br />D. Continued Public Hearing: Resolution 7457, a Resolution to Consider an On 34 <br />Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Taiko Sushi Bar at 2394 County 35 <br />Highway 10. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane stated that this item was to be considered on June 8, 2009; 38 <br />however, the paperwork was not then completed. She stated the Police Department, Finance 39 <br />Department and Fire Marshal have issued satisfactory reports and staff recommends approval 40 <br />subject to a satisfactory background check. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the continued public hearing at 8:20 p.m. 43 <br /> 44 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
