Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 809, Vacating a 17.5 foot 6 <br />Surface Water Easement on Greenfield Estates Property, 7521-7661 7 <br />Greenfield Avenue. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Planning Associate Heller presented the request of Tycon Companies, owners of Greenfield 10 <br />Estates Apartments at 7521-7661 Greenfield Avenue and 2370 County Road I, to vacate a 11 <br />surface water easement. It was noted the applicant plans to replace existing garages with new 12 <br />drive-through style buildings. The proposed new garages would be farther east than the existing 13 <br />garages and encroach into a 17.5-foot easement by 2.5 feet, resulting in the easement vacation 14 <br />request. It is expected the Rice Creek Watershed District will grant a permit for this project and 15 <br />City staff has found this easement is no longer needed. Staff recommends granting second 16 <br />reading, adoption of the ordinance, and to publish by summary. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Gunn stated her support for the application to improve a less than desirable 19 <br />situation. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance No. 22 <br />809, Authorizing a Partial Vacation of a 17.5-foot Surface Water Easement on Greenfield Estates 23 <br />Property located at 7521-7661 Greenfield Avenue and 2370 County Road I, and Publication by 24 <br />Summary Ordinance in the Sun Focus. 25 <br /> 26 <br />ROLL CALL: Stigney/Hull/Mueller/Gunn/Flaherty. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />F. Resolution 7488, Approving Step Increases for Tyler Martin (Public Service 31 <br />Officer), Mary Springer (Receptionist/Recycling Coordinator) and Vanessa 32 <br />Van Alstine (Cable TV Coordinator). 33 <br /> 34 <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson presented staff’s recommendation to approve step increases for 35 <br />Public Service Officer Tyler Martin, Receptionist/Recycling Coordinator Mary Springer, and 36 <br />Cable TV Coordinator Vanessa Van Alstine based on satisfactory performance reviews by their 37 <br />supervisors. It was noted the recommended wage adjustments are consistent with the Personnel 38 <br />Manual and Labor Agreements. Clerk-Administrator Ericson read Resolution 7488. 39 <br /> 40 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
