<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7520 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission has a current <br />eligibility list for Police Officer Positions; and. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has an opening for police officer as a result of a <br />resignation; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the police officer position is an essential position to the operations of <br />the Police Department, and having a replacement officer in place as soon as practical <br />following a vacancy is critical to maintaining uninterrupted continuity of functional Police <br />operations; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the replacement officer shall be hired from the current Civil Service <br />eligibility list. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby authorize moving forward with the process <br />to fill the existing vacancy consistent with the hiring rules of the Mounds View Police Civil <br />Service Commission. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council shall <br />approve by subsequent resolution the hire of the successful candidate, upon satisfactory <br />background investigation, with a start time as soon as practical. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 9th day of November 2009. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br />
