Tyson CUP Staff Report
Page 2

Public Input: The Planning Commission held a public hearing that was opened on November
7th and continued on December 5, 2007. Neighboring businesses attended the public
hearing on December 5th and voiced their opposition (Fedtech, Dymax, National Steel
Fabricators). Letters of opposition are included in this report.

Recommendation:

Hold the public hearing and take action by passing Resolution 7204, which denies the
Conditional Use Permit request not only due to the withdrawal of this planning case by the
applicant, but also because of the safety concerns, long response time from the fire
department, expressed opposition from neighboring businesses, and the unanimous
recommendation of denial by the Planning Commission.

Respectfully submitted,
Heidi Heller
Planning Associate

Attachments:

1.
