RESOLUTION NO. 7229 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPOINTING JAMES ERICSON TO THE POSITION OF MOUNDS VIEW CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Clerk - Administrator position was advertised; and, WHEREAS, the City Council sought proposals from recruitment professionals, and decided on Springsted to assist the City in the Clerk-Administrator recruitment process; and WHEREAS, three candidates were identified and interviewed by the City Council on Saturday, February 9, 2008; and, WHEREAS, James Ericson’s skills and experience most closely matched the identified needs of the City; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ericson consented to a criminal background check, which were performed, and the results of which revealed nothing of note; and WHEREAS, at the March 24, 2008, Executive Session, Mr. Ericson accepted the position under the terms and conditions of his employment agreement negotiated between the parties; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints James Ericson as the City of Mounds View Clerk-Administrator to begin effective February 11, 2008. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that wage compensation will be consistent with the employment agreement, negotiated between the parties. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mr. Ericson shall serve at the will of the Council and may be terminated with or without cause at any time. Severance and separation compensation shall be consistent with the employment agreement and the City’s personnel policies. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the employment agreement negotiated between the parties will be incorporated into a written contract for final acknowledgement by the City Council and execution by the parties.
