Announce Town Hall Meeting – Saturday, April 19, 2008 9am – 4 <br />12noon 5 <br /> 6 <br />Administrator Ericson announced the Town Hall meeting. He then provided council with a 7 <br />handout on the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference. 8 <br /> 9 <br />2. Mounds View Community Center Floor Surfacing Options 10 <br /> 11 <br />Public Works Director Lee requested direction on resurfacing the gymnasium and dance floors at 12 <br />the Community Center. He then said that the cost to rehab the dance floor would be $5,500 and 13 <br />Staff is asking for direction from Council as to how to proceed. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked what would be able to be done for the $2,000. Director Lee 16 <br />indicated that he is not sure but he would guess it would cover a rough sanding and a coating 17 <br />over that but not a thorough redo of the floor. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council asked to have Steve Dazenski, Parks Supervisor, come to a work session to discuss the 20 <br />floor with Council and the options available. 21 <br /> 22 <br />3. Finance 4th Quarter Report 23 <br /> 24 <br />Finance Director Beer provided an overview of the Fourth Quarter report noting that the year 25 <br />ended with a moderate surplus. 26 <br /> 27 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney 28 <br /> 29 <br />Attorney Riggs indicated that there has been no resolution of the pipeline situation with Xcel. He 30 <br />then said that he expects to hear from them soon as the spring construction season is set to begin. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if there has been any further contact or questions from Clear 33 <br />Channel. Attorney Riggs indicated that he had sent a letter to them today as he has not heard 34 <br />anything either. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Monday, March 31, 2008 will be there is a joint meeting with Spring Lake Park. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council recessed at 9:28 p.m. to closed session. Council indicated they would be adjourning 39 <br />directly from the closed session. 40 <br /> 41 <br />12. Next Council Work Session: Monday, April 7, 2008, at 6 p.m. 42 <br />Next Council Meeting: Monday, April 14, 2008, at 7 p.m. 43
