To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7252, 5 <br />Determining Consistency with MN Statutes Section 462.356 Relating to the Proposed 6 <br />Conveyance to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9 <br /> 10 <br />F. First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 805, an Ordinance Authorizing 11 <br />Disposal of Land and Quit Claim Deed Conveyance to Abiding Savior 12 <br />Lutheran Church. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson noted that this Ordinance would allow for the disposal of the 15 <br />property, by Quit Claim Deed, to the Church which City Code requires to be done by Ordinance. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading, and Introduce Ordinance 805, an 18 <br />Ordinance Authorizing Disposal of Land and Quit Claim Deed Conveyance to Abiding Savior 19 <br />Lutheran Church. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br />H. Resolution 7255 Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2009 Budget 24 <br /> 25 <br />Finance Director Beer noted that the Council must establish a calendar to set important dates for 26 <br />residents to attend budget hearings. The first date would be at the June 2, 2008 work session 27 <br />where budget priorities will be discussed. The next date is September when the preliminary levy 28 <br />will be adopted. December is the truth-in-taxation hearing with a continuation hearing on 29 <br />December 8, 2008. Council would adopt the 2009 budget and tax levy in December. Staff 30 <br />recommends approval of the Resolution setting forth the important dates to be posted to the 31 <br />website for resident reference. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Flaherty said that he would like to call this a preliminary calendar because the 34 <br />dates are subject to change. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson indicated that the dates can be changed, if necessary. 37 <br /> 38 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller.
