To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7259, 12
Authorizing Severance for Greg Lee. 13
14
Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 15
16
Mayor Marty said that when other positions have left, the people stepping up and filling in for 17
those positions have gotten a raise in pay for the extra duties. He then said that Tracy and Jim 18
Hess have been stepping up and keeping things running, so he would like to consider at the next 19
meeting to bump up their salary for extra duties and responsibilities. 20
21
Council Member Stigney asked that this go to a work session. 22
23
Mayor Marty indicated he feels that the Clerk-Administrator should make a recommendation for 24
Council consideration at the next meeting. 25
26
Council Member Stigney requested that this matter be discussed during Council reports and not 27
during this portion of the meeting. 28
29
Council agreed. 30
31
F. Resolution 7252 Determining Consistency with MN Statutes Section 462.356 32
Relating to the Proposed Conveyance to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church 33
34
Clerk-Administrator Ericson noted that the land in question is the south 32.5 feet of two lots in 35
the Flink addition. In 1970, the excess 32.5 feet was vacated but, according to the laws, the 36
property goes to the underlying landowner, and that was the City. The County has indicated that 37
the best course of action is a quit claim deed from the City to the Church erasing any doubt, 38
whatsoever, that the Church owns the land. The Resolution is due to Minnesota Statute 39
requirements. The City must have the disposal reviewed by the Planning Commission unless, by 40
Resolution, the Council states that is not necessary. 41
42
Mayor Marty said that the City passed Resolution 490 in 1970 that vacated the property and 43
tonight, we are at 7259 so there have been 6,770 Resolutions in the last 38 years. 44
45
