Mounds View City Council May 12, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />Acting Administrator Crane explained that this matter was discussed at the May work session 1 <br />and Council had asked that Mr. Dazenski be awarded an increase of 5% of his salary until a 2 <br />public works director and public works supervisor are hired by the City. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Mueller said that she feels that Mr. Dazenski has done an excellent job for the 5 <br />City in filling in with duties other than his own. 6 <br /> 7 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7271, 8 <br />Authorizing Interim Compensation for Steve Dazenski, Parks Supervisor. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 11 <br /> 12 <br /> E. Resolution 7272, Approving a Tobacco and Cigarette License for Vino & 13 <br /> Stogies located at 2345 County Road H2. (d/b/a Mounds View 14 <br /> Cigar Shop) 15 <br /> 16 <br />Acting Administrator Crane noted that Vino & Stogies was recently inspected by the Department 17 <br />of Health, and it was found that they are allowing sampling of products. The Health Inspector 18 <br />indicated that as long as the owner had a separate cigarette license, and the bar and tobacco area 19 <br />were separated, then he would be in compliance. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether he was open for business before this permit request. 22 <br />Acting Administrator Crane indicated that the Department of Health recommended that he have a 23 <br />separate tobacco license, but he was in full compliance with the law. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
