RESOLUTION 7297 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE 2008 STREET <br />MAINTENANCE PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7273 adopted by the City <br />Council on May 12, 2008, sealed bids were received on June 17, 2008, at 10:00 <br />A.M. for the 2008 Street Maintenance Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Allied <br />Blacktop Company with a Base Bid $266,270.00; and <br />WHEREAS, this contract will be for a combined project with the <br />City of Spring Lake Park with Mounds View’s share of the project estimated at <br />60.0% – or $159,656.60 for construction costs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1.The Base Bid of Allied Blacktop Company in the amount of <br />$266,270.00 for the 2008 Street Maintenance Project is the lowest <br />responsive bid. <br />2.A contract to perform said work is awarded to Allied Blacktop <br />Company. <br />3.Award of the contract is contingent upon concurrence by the City of <br />Spring Lake Park. <br />4.The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said bidder once the <br />concurrence from Spring Lake Park is received. <br />5.The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return <br />the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful <br />bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of June 2008. <br />(ATTEST)____________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br />(SEAL)____________________________________ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator
