5. Holiday Language <br /> <br />23.1 All regular full-time, part-time and probationary employees averaging 20 or <br />more hours per week, shall annually receive twelve paid holidays as follows: <br /> <br />1. New Year’s Day <br />2. Martin Luther King’s Birthday (3rd Monday in January) <br />3. President’s Day <br />4. Memorial Day <br />5. Independence Day <br />6. Labor Day <br />7. Veterans’ Day <br />8. Thanksgiving Day <br />9. Day after Thanksgiving <br />10. Christmas Eve Day <br />11. Christmas Day <br />12. New Year’s Eve Day. <br /> <br />23.2 Non-Exempt employee's required to work on holidays shall be paid one and <br />one-half (1 1/2) times the employee's base pay rate for hours worked. This is <br />in addition to the employee's base pay. Employees not working on a holiday <br />shall receive eight hours straight time pay. Regular part-time employees shall <br />receive pro-rated holiday pay. <br /> <br />If Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day or Veteran's Day falls <br />on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered a Holiday. If <br />Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day, or Veteran’s Day fall on <br />a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered a holiday. In years that <br />Christmas Eve and New Years Eve fall on a Friday or Sunday, the <br />EMPLOYER agrees to adopt a suitable arrangement such that the <br />EMPLOYEE retains twelve paid holidays. <br /> <br />6. City will add the Cable TV Coordinator to the 2008-2009 Contract. <br /> <br />7. Duration of the proposed contract: January 1, 2008 – December 31, 2009. <br /> <br />8. Article XIII <br /> <br /> The following underlined language below replaces the existing language found in <br />Section 13.5: <br /> <br />Where an Employee is questioned regarding the investigation of a matter that may <br />lead to disciplinary action, such questioning will be conducted in a manner not to <br />reasonable embarrass the Employee before other Employees or the public. If, in <br />the course of an investigation, it is determined that disciplinary action may be taken <br />against an employee, the Employee will be given an opportunity to have a Union <br />representative present before the Employer proceeds further to question the <br />Employee regarding the matter. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
