Playground safety <br /> inspections will continue now through the Fall with bi-monthly <br /> inspections. Inspections are documented and repairs completed and <br /> also documented. This is part of our risk management program. <br /> Park Clean Up <br /> The parks look pretty clean, however, once the winds of April and May <br /> begin we will see much more paper litter lining the fences and bushes in - -- <br /> the parks. We will be organizing a Park Clean Up Day in coordination <br /> with Earth Day on Saturday, April 23. Several Girl Scout and Boy Scout <br /> Troops will be taking on the neighborhood parks. The Silver Lake Woods <br /> Homeowners Association will be cleaning Silver View. The EQC will be at <br /> Groveland. More on that later. <br /> Sweeping <br /> Steve prepared the water truck to be used in the street sweeping <br /> process. The broom was used last week to sweep the park boulevards. <br /> The Street Division will be sweeping the streets beginning this week. <br /> Nets <br /> Tennis nets are out at Groveland and Greenfield. Soccer and volleyball <br /> nets will go out in April. All basketball nets have been replaced. <br /> Lakeside Park Project <br /> Steve and Jeff will be working all day with Spring Lake park to remedy <br /> the shifting retaining wall at Lakeside Park beach. The plan is to backhoe <br /> the sand, push back the wall and reinforce it with rebarr and return the <br /> sand. <br /> Miscellaneous Activities <br /> The message sign has been changed this week. Also, Jeff will be <br /> spending 2-3 days hanging the new window treatments at City Hall. It is <br /> nice to have his expertise in this area. <br />
