Disposal of other "unusual" items (such as ammonia based refrigerators) may be more costly. Twin City
Refuse reserves the right to charge beyond the established rates in these cases and for cases where a vehicle
or trailer is loaded beyond a level amount. In any event, all fees will be passed along to the waste generator;
payment will be made directly from residents to Twin City Refuse. The City's only involvement will be
providing a drop-off site and one staff member to coordinate the day's events. Additional police monitoring
may also be necessary to coordinate traffic and to monitor the Public Works site for illegal dumping after
the Clean -Up Day has concluded. Twin City Refuse will provide at least six workers to collect payments,
unload vehicles, and remove materials from the Public Works Site.
If the Council is in agreement with this fee schedule and date, staff will make final arrangements with Twin
City Refuse and begin a promotional campaign.
