This is one of our elderly residents that we sand and plow a little more thoroughly in
front of her driveway and mailbox. This is on Gary Kardell's route and he says, "that
when she hears the snowplow, she stands in front of her window waving, he honks
the horn and she just beams ear to ear!"
COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
2908 Ardan Avenue
Staff got some very good news on the burned -out house at 2908 Ardan Avenue this
week. First, a call was taken from a person who was very interested in purchasing
the property, razing the house and rebuilding. Staff gave the person all requested
information and told them to contact the City if they had any further questions. Also,
a call was received from a demolition company regarding the permits necessary for
demolishing the house. Staff got the impression that the house will be razed in the
next few months.
C. G. Hill Project
Staff has been working with Tim Nelson of Everest all this week on the materials
which will need to be submitted as part of the Hill development. Staff anticipates that
this item will be at the Planning Commission level in April and move to the Council in
May. During the discussions with Everest, Staff was asked to do some research on
Park Dedication Fees which may have been previously paid on a portion of the Hill
project site. Because the Municipal Code does not allow the City to. collect Park
Dedication Fees on the same piece of land twice, the outcome of this research could
have financial ramifications. Staff will keep the Council updated on this item as
information becomes available.
Paul
