It was explained to both individuals that their positions would <br /> be re-evaluated in the Spring and an evaluation of the new position <br /> reclassifications considered based on the organizational structure. <br /> Since last Spring, the Planning Technician has assumed responsibility for <br /> the following Community Development functions and activities: <br /> * General Planning . <br /> * Inspections <br /> * Engineering . <br /> * Recycling <br /> * Code Enforcement <br /> Responsibility for coordinating the new housing stock analysis was added <br /> this year. <br /> The Planning Technician, in supervising the department's employees and <br /> activities over the past year, has exhibited leadership and managerial <br /> abilities that are consistent with that of the first in command of a multi- <br /> functional department. He has undertaken many very difficult and multi- <br /> faceted responsibilities and has done a remarkable job.
