STAFF REPORT <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> APRIL 5, 1994 <br /> At the April 4, 1994 Council Work Session, the Council discussed <br /> several position reclassification and compensation structures. It <br /> was determined that a reclassification from Planning Technician to <br /> Community Development Coordinator was consistent with the current <br /> and anticipated duties and responsibilities of the top position <br /> within the Community Development Department. The following <br /> compensation schedule was presented as: <br /> Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 <br /> $39,, 319 $41, 776 .44 $44,233 .87 $46, 691. 31 - $49, 148 .75 <br /> It is recommended that the new Economic Development Coordinator <br /> begin the new compensation structure at Step 1, effective April 4, <br /> 1994 with advancement to Step 2 after 6 months, Step 3 after one <br /> year, Step 4 after two years and Step 5 after 3 years. All step <br /> adjustments will be made only after an evaluation rated <br /> satisfactory or above. The position will be a probationary position <br /> for 6 months. <br />
