Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) ,SUMMARY; Attached please find the following: 1. List of the 12 goals which were developed at recent Council/ Staff Strategic Planning Session. 2 . An informational summary of the discussions that were held among Council, Staff and Advisory Commission representatives' at the Strategic Planning Session, including the specific implementation plans that were developed for 11 of the 12 5 year goals. 3 . The 1994 Department Work Plans (Administration, Police, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, and Finance) . The Department Directors and senior staff used the 12 goals as a basis for their 1994 Work Plans. * It is intended that the 1994 Department Work Plans will reviewed at the October, 1994 and January, 1995 Work Sessions. Staff is requesting consideration of using approximately $5, 000 from the Contingency fund to publish the 1994 Five Year Goal Program brochure. This was done last year after the Strategic Planning Session and then distributed to residents and businesses. It was an excellent communication vehicle to inform our Stakeholders of the Council's project and policy plans for the coming years. The brochure will serve as a follow-up to the FOCUS 2000 recommendations by presenting the Council's 5 Year Implementation Plans. The 1994 Department Work Plans are presented to Council as a guide by which Council and staff can gauge the progress towards meeting the recently established 5 year g-. s.
