RESOLUTION NO. 4565 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICES OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE PARTNERSHIP TO <br /> IMPLEMENT THE COMMUNITY PARTNERS PROGRAM AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,500. <br /> WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority has recommended that the City join the <br /> Community Partners Program to implement a comprehensive retention and business development <br /> program under the coordination of the Economic Development Coordinator; and <br /> WHEREAS, the consulting firm of Community Resource Partnerships, Inc. will be hired to <br /> execute the Community Partners Program, consisting of data collection, data analysis, strategic <br /> recommendations and resource utilization for approximately 100-150 businesses located in the City <br /> of Mounds View; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Metro Business Retention and Development Commission made up of <br /> Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Blaine and New Hope, have successfully completed the <br /> Community Partners Program and have deemed it to add significant value to building a strong <br /> partnership between the public and private sectors; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the recommendation of the Economic Development Authority (EDA), the City <br /> Council views the Community Partnership Program as a direct benefit to the prosperity of the City <br /> of Mounds View's economy. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council in and for the City of <br /> Mounds View does hereby authorize participation in the Community Partners Program at a cost not <br /> to exceed $12,500; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City does hereby approve and authorize a transfer <br /> of funds from account # 100-2100-606 (Fund Balance - designated from ensuing years budget) to <br /> account # 100-4120-303 Administration, Professional Services. <br /> BE IT ALSO RESOLVED THAT the City views this expenditure as an economic <br /> development administrative cost to be reimbursed from the EDA's Project Area administrative fee. <br /> Adopted this 9th day of May, 1994. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL) <br /> City Administrator <br />
