Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) ,SUMMARY; Zak Hanson and I have been in contact several times since the attached Ramsey County work plan was provided. While the City has cleaned the site of brush since the work plan was developed, brush continues to be dumper'. on the site. Since the last discussion of this item, a resident reported observation of illegal dumping of brush while the attendant was present. The incident was reported to Zak who followed up by talking to the Mounds View resident and then to the attendant. There will be a new attendant at the site beginning this month. He has been instructed to better monitor the site. Because of the on-going problem of illegal dumping of brush, I have asked Zak to explore the cost of installing a fence and gate on the site with a remote mechanism to allow ingress and egress of the site by the residents at the back of the site. Another option is to provide for the legal dumping of brush on the site at set times and the City, in conjunction with the County, could "chip" the materials. Zak noted that some cities provide this service at a very competitive cost. The County is continuing to pursue alternative sites such as the TCCAP, Rice Creek Watershed and U. of M. properties. Response by TCAAP is not expected until late Fall.
