3. ELECTIONS - The election activities of the City include the <br /> maintenance of Voter Registration records, provision and <br /> maintenance of voting.and ballot counting equipment, supplies <br /> and administrative services, including election judges, <br /> necessary for the legal and efficient conduct of elections. <br /> It is anticipated that basic election services will change over the <br /> next five years with the addition of the Presidential Primary <br /> which began in 1992. Increased expenditures may be required <br /> when special elections are held which cannot be anticipated, or <br /> the State or Federal governments modify the rules and regula- <br /> tions for the conduct of elections. A - - - - - - -- -, - - = <br /> 4. CENTRAL SERVICES . - The Central Services Division of the <br /> Administration Department provides for the management, main- <br /> tenance and operation of the City Hall building, office <br /> equipment, personnel services, information systems such as <br /> computer hardware and software applications and efficient pro- <br /> cessing of information. This portion of the budget is also <br /> responsible for half the printing costs of the City Newsletter, <br /> costs of the Receptionist and part-time clerical staff, half the <br /> costs of the Assistant to the City Administrator, the costs of the <br /> Custodian, the purchasing and stocking of office equipment and <br /> supplies, custodial equipment and supplies, postage costs, <br /> maintenance agreement costs, liability costs and automobile <br /> insurance premiums. <br /> 1994 - 1998 GOALS <br /> Continued maintenance and upgrade of the Network System <br /> which is now fully implemented and operational.
