REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 11. <br /> 'VS <br /> STAFF REPORT Report Number: 93-576WS <br /> J AGENDA SESSION DATE August 2, 1993 Report Date: 7/29/93 <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: Second Quarter Quarterly Report <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> SUMMARY; <br /> * Tom Baumgart began his employment with the City in early May. He <br /> was assigned two Field Training Officers (Kampa & Nelson) . His <br /> training is almost complete. Tom will be filling in for vacations <br /> and then will be assigned a regular shift. <br /> * Joseph Wilson was arrested for criminal sexual conduct earlier <br /> this year. You may remember this case caused a great deal of <br /> concern, particularly in the south half of the city. He was <br /> convicted of the offenses and sentenced to 250 months in prison. <br /> * Mary Rice, our attorney in the Agunbiade case, has been <br /> replaced by Pete Regnier. Mr. Regnier has submitted a <br /> written argument to the Supreme Court. As of this date, the <br /> case has not been scheduled for oral arguments. <br /> * Officer Tim Brennan was married in April. Tim and his wife, <br /> Lynette, are residing in Mounds View. <br /> * The following are reported cases for the months of April, May and <br /> June: <br /> Robbery 0 Serious Assualts 27 <br /> Arson 3 Homicides 0 <br /> Thefts 79 Burglaries 13 <br /> M.V. Thefts 8 C.S.C. 6 <br /> * In April, all Officers qualified with their service firearm <br /> and also with their off-duty firearm.
