'v` Agenda Section: 11. <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> ni <br /> MHOS <br /> ST• F REPORT Report Number: 93-576WS <br /> t <br /> � AGENDA SESSION DATE August 2, 1993 Report Date: 7/29/93 <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: Second Quarter Quarterly Report <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> SUMMARY; <br /> During the 2nd Quarter of 1993, the recently created Community Development <br /> Department maintained existing services while identifying those areas of <br /> responsibility which came under the Departments' control following the <br /> elimination of the former Public Works/Planning & Engineering Department. <br /> Activities included the following: <br /> Building Inspections <br /> * A total of 167 building, heating and plumbing permits were <br /> issued during the Quarter. Additionally, yearly inspections of <br /> rental properties were completed and certificate of occupancies <br /> issued. <br /> * The Building Inspector attended a two-day seminar hosted by the <br /> State of Minnesota Department of Administration which focused on <br /> providing HRA inspections and general building code regulation and <br /> enforcement. <br /> Engineering <br /> * Completed mandatory City hook-up of all properties to City water <br /> service. Continued negotiations with property owners for <br /> mandatory sanitary sewer hook-up. <br /> * Continued to serve as City coordinator on Long Lake Road <br /> reconstruction providing necessary utility and other requested <br /> information. <br /> * Assisted in provision of water service for MnDOT Drivers Exam <br /> Station - Ardan Hills. <br /> * Provided research for City residents on Storm Water system <br /> within City (requested during heavy rainfall periods) . <br /> 17 --.°-.1---? ___. <br /> RECOMATION: Paul <br /> MENDHarrington, CilC4 Planner <br />
