QUARTERLY REPORT
PAGE THREE
AUGUST 2, 1993
18. Other projects such as building repairs, trash and debris
removal, playground inspections and repairs, improvements to
existing facilities and pathwork has all been going on as
time and weather permits.
19. Random Park parking lot was paved. I wish to commend the
outstanding work of the Parks crew and seasonals. All of
the seasonals are new hires this summer, all beginning in
June. Both regular parks employees Steve and Jeff have
providedonthe job training for the parkseasonalemployees -- -- -
versing them on equipment and procedures, and helping out in
times of equipment failure and problems. This direction,
training and experience takes extra time, patience and
effort. It is hoped that all our park seasonals will return
next summer and summers to follow so that the time and
efforts spent this summer in training and experience will
continue to benefit our park maintenance operations during
future summers.
Also, Steve Dazenski must be commended for his work in
directing daily tasks to the crew. Steve has provided the
leadership role on the Parks crew. In addition, Steve has
provided daily facilitation and direction to the JPTA crew.
A final note of praise for the entire parks crew. The quick
response to park problems and situations has been excellent.
It has been our goal to put first priority on daily park
needs whenever reported by residents, coaches, instructors,
leaders or detected on daily park inspections. We have
strived to be as responsive as possible to the needs of park
users. The crew has been complimented by Silver View Woods
Homeowners Association in regards to the "fine mowing" of
Silver View Park this summer.
RECREATION:
1.
