Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) SUMMARY; Negotiations with the Public Works bargaining unit have been underway since early Fall. A proposed agreement was reached on April 7, 1993 and is being presented for Council consideration and approval at the April 12, 1993 meeting. The provisions of the agreements are: * One year Agreement from January 1, 1993 through December 31, 1993 . * 2 .7% increase in base wage * 0. 5% Stanton increase to base wage • • * Increase of one (1) hour for carrying the beeper - from 6 hours of overtime to 7 hours in exchange for the loss of the floating holiday. * Lead pay increase from $.47/hour to $. 50/hour * $15. 00/month increase in City contribution to health coverage (same as fornon-union personnel) * All increases 'are retroactive to January 1, 1993 . • Also included in the contract is language which addresses the requirements for attainment of Level.
