Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) Sl'TMMARY; This item was introduced at the April 26, 1993 Council Meeting. May 10 was set as the date for adoption. of the ordinance if that is the.decision of Council. I have discussed the issues with Chief Ramacher regarding the possibility of windshield stickers or dashboard tags to exempt residents from the regulation. He indicated that the problems associated with • enforcement and simply issuing the stickers or tags did not seem to be offset by the benefits. He indicated that he saw no reason the current system can not continue to work. If there is going.to be a need for friends or relatives to park on the •street, then dispatch can be contacted and the officers on the street will be aware of the situation.
