Item 8.B <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4318 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE 1993 STAR OF THE NORTH SUMMER GAMES <br /> WHEREAS, the Star of the North Games is an Olympic-style, multi-sport <br /> festival of competitions open to all Minnesotans regardless of age or ability; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Star of the North Games promote health, fitness and good <br /> sportsmanship through participation while fostering the development of Minnesota's <br /> amateur sport governing associations; and <br /> WHEREAS, representatives from Blaine, Circle Pines, Fridley, Mounds <br /> View, New Brighton and Spring Lake Park have been contacted to serve as host <br /> communities for the Star of the North Summer Games. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br /> of Mounds View that it endorses the 1993 Star of the North Summer Games and will <br /> support the efforts of the local organizing committee by making its community facilities <br /> and venues available for the 1993 Star of the North Summer Games, as well as provide <br /> limited in-kind services and support to conduct the competitions and special events <br /> association with the 1993 Star of the North Summer Games. <br /> Adopted the 14th Day of December, 1992. <br /> (SEAL <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br />
