RESOLUTION NO. 4433 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR CITY HALL <br />ADDITION AND REMODELING CONTRACT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement prepared for the remodeling and construction of <br />an addition to City Hall, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />complying bids are summarized on the attached Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder: and <br />WHEREAS, Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. has requested that it be allowed to withdraw <br />its bid; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View as <br />follows: <br />1. The request by Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc, to withdraw its bid is <br />denied: and <br />2. The bid of Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. is accepted and the Mayor <br />and City Administrator are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. according to the plans and specifications <br />approved by the City Council for the project; and <br />3. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except the deposits of the lowest bidder and the next two <br />lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed; and <br />4. In the event that Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. fails to execute a contract with <br />the City in a timely manner, the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized <br />and directed to take the appropriate action to make a claim against the bid bond <br />submitted by Mikkelson-Wulff Construction, Inc. <br />Adopted this 11 th day of October, 1993. <br />ATTEST: , <br />Mayor <br />(SEAL) <br />Citv Administrator <br />
